Mathilde Bonte (born 1985 in Belgium) works as a freelance artist and teacher within the field of contemporary/new dance and improvisation.

She studied social and cultural anthropology as well as theatre sciences in Belgium. In 2010 she moved to Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) to study dance, improvisation and performance (2010-2012). She has been teaching inclusive dance at Platform K (Bruges/Ghent), contemporary dance and improvisation at Profitraining Freiburg, Tanzetage Tapella (Freiburg), and Tanzstudio Let´s move (Denzlingen), Raum Kultur in Bewegung (Freiburg), VHS Freiburg, dance for children (4-6y) in Tanzstudio Let´s move (Denzlingen) and dance theatre at VHS Freiburg.

Since 2016 she is working and creating within the open-source framework of ´an artist residency in motherhood´ by Lenka Clayton (ARIM, artistresidencyinmotherhood.com). April 2017 she became a mother to her first born son. Last year, december 2020, together with Fiona Combosch and Ewelina Kotwa, she staged the evening length dance performance AMPLIFY. The three artists work together since 2019, and in 2020 the silent cosmonauts collective was created.

Currently the second evening-length piece of the silent cosmonauts collective is on its way, to be  staged in Freiburg early Fall 2021
